Hi friend, how are you?

Think simple, easy, nothing big brain today, if there were 3 small things you wish you had learned about earlier in life and been doing them what would they be?

It’s no secret that I love my Saturday morning hiking clubs
And that I walk nightly, a lot, sometimes even between a hour and 90 minutes…..
“sometimes”……

This isn’t a share about the super benefits of walking, we all know them, it’s a “wish I had been doing this also or instead of”

You see I office from home, have for about 15 years now
It has some serious perks, trust me, it does
But a few of the downsides are on me, no one else

For years it wasn’t uncommon for me to wake up, and then be sitting in my office chair within 5 minutes after waking. Years, I did that for years……. 🙃

These days within 5 minutes of waking my feet are out on the street every morning
I take a short walk around the block. 25% of it is straight up a steep hill, ( I luvv hills )
Then I come inside and get my day started
The screenshot up above is the steps from that little jaunt, nothing else, just leave my front door then to my front door right after waking up

Nuero Surgeons say one of the Top 10 ways to avoid Dementia is direct sunlight with in the first 20 minutes of waking for at least 10 minutes every day

But another thing I’m doing is that same walk after every meal
At first it sucked…… I wanted my chair!!!! 😆
But since I started doing that I noticed HUUUUUGE differences in my digestion
Last night “Junior Jr” and I got home late, had beef and broccoli at 8:30 pm
Didn’t sit after, got out and did my little walk, same route as in the screenshot up above

That’s something I wish I had learned YEARZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ ago
Did you know that just walking a soft easy pace for 10 -15 minutes after 15 minutes of eating lowers your blood sugar spikes drastically?
2 key takeaways
1st:::: Needs to be within 15 minutes after, not after you take a nap
2nd::: You don’t need to climb a mountain, just eat then move
Trust me, just trust me, try it for one week
Do it 2 times a day
If your system doesn’t start feeling “cleaner” after that I don’t know what to say

That’s just one little thing I wish I’d learned earlier in life, there’s more
What I think is more important is not only what we learn, but do we then use it?
How about yourself? What are you doing these days you wish you had been doing before?

Invest wisely, live charitably and be well
