Hi friend, how are you?
Been a week since I’ve shared here, I’m not a big fan of when people say “I’ve been busy” that typically means they’re unorganized
There’s a huge difference between being busy and making stuff happen
To say that I’ve been productive since we last spoke would be putting it mildly
Over the weekend my grandson and I took a road trip that was fast, furious, and funnnnnn
We got to hang out with family and friends, have a great BBQ, big fun there
Went to a car show with family, lots of us went for this one
And my favorite part, we walked some stairs!!! 😁
After road tripping 4 hours, hosting a big beautiful BBQ, then hangin with family into the night, it was time for Junior Jr, and I to go to our hotel
It was now after 9pm, the day was long, we were cooked
We went to the front desk, I accepted the challenge my grandson gave me earlier and completely embarrassed him there by busting out the song I wake him up to every morning, Elvis Presley’s “You ain’t nothing but a hound dog” 🤣
The check in lady joined in, and the entire staff came out to join as well as a couple of the hotel guests… It was a once in a lifetime, for him at least, I do that kind of stuff often 😁
A couple said it was the biggest and best laugh they’d had a in along time
Show’s over, it’s time to go up to our room, on the 10th floor
After the big giant day, suitcase in hand, bag full of goodies in the other, Junior Jr and I made our way up 10 flights of stairs, no way in the world was I going to pass that one up, didn’t care how tired we were
Sunday we woke up, went downstairs had bfast, time to climb those 10 glorious flights again, big pig stuffed belly and all, it’s time to climb
If I could climb 10 flights of stairs every morning after my bfast I swear I would do so every day for the rest of my life, talk about a metabolic reset, my body felt so incredible after
Momentum, it’s a bigger tool than we give it credit sometimes
When we keep momentum going we keep going
Rest, we’ll need it at some point, we can only race the horse for so long before we have to stop and give it some water
Momentum was only one of thing last week reminded me of ( more on that another time)
When we use momentum to work for us, and not allow “busy - ness” to work against us, there’s no telling what all we can get done, or accomplish in life
We’re still fans of “We don’t stop moving when we get old, we get old when we stop moving” and the other one “Never miss a Monday workout”
Invest wisely, live charitably and be well
