Who's on the grill?

How’s your weekend? Is it hotter than a firecracker than on the 4th of July where you are?

It’s here… And that’s okay, that’s why God created swimming pools which I hope to jump into tomorrow

Tomorrow July 15, 2025 is Fathers Day…
That’s a mixed / what is the true meaning of holiday for some
For some it’s a Hallmark moment, for others not so much

Are you a dad? a Papa? I’m both….
But I recently lost my dad, just a few weeks ago to be more to the point
I have mixed emotions as I share this, it’s bitter sweet
No one wants to see their people in pain, or hurting, no one
But knowing that I simply cannot pick up the phone and call him presents its own “thoughts”

If you watch tv you will be led to believe that dad gets a tie tomorrow, and then gets to brag on his Grand Master BBQ skillzzz ( which I do have by the way!! 😁 ) and that it all lasts for 15 minutes then back to “real life”

Maybe you were fortunate and had / have a good relationship with your dad

Single moms often play the role of mom and dad
Some may of lost their dads too soon in life
And unfortunately , some may of never really had the chance to of known them at all

But we all have one father in heaven, and that is God
God will never leave you, nor will he ever forsake you
Hebrews 13:5 “Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you”

Tomorrow call you dad if you can, if you are the dad show them your still the greatest Grill Daddy of all time. And for those that feel that this holiday isn’t for them, just remember that God is always with you
