Hi friend, how are you?
I’ve shared this here before, but feel it’s time for a refresh
They say we need 3 victories a day::
1st: A physical win
2nd: A mental win
3rd: A spiritual win
Yesterday all 3 of mine lined up better than they have in a while, and I could feel it in my body, mind and soul when I went to bed last night, peaceful, at ease, happy for the way things are going
When I tweaked my back Labor Day weekend it was a bigggg giant uhhhhgggg
My toes are still somewhat numb from that, but improving
I’m stretching all the time, and doing lower back strengthening movements as well
The weather here in KC yesterday was incredible.. I wanted to take some painting supplies, go to the river and paint the sunset over the water. Sounds cool doesn’t it? I didn’t go last night, I stayed home instead, turned the phone off, got some stuff done
When I was growing up I was fortunate to have a lot of great adults around me, men and women both. One of the neighborhood dads was a self made man as they say.
He started his career driving a dump truck, he ended it owning 5 separate trucking companies, at the same time
He taught me this::: “Do what you have to do so you can then do what you want to do”
Later on I would have a manager at a company I worked for that would say that too
He was a self made man also
The things we do today create our futures for tomorrow
I heard from a Dr friend of mine this morning, she’s a couple years older than me, she’s in one of my hiking clubs….. While out on a hike one day she shared this with a few of us “If people just got outside in nature, out in the fresh air, and actually took care of themselves, like walking, I’d see a lot less patients for the things I do”
Some are too smart to do the work they need to do today to be better tomorrow
They can just take some pills and everything is “perfect”
Their Dr will then be “pleased”
I’ve never been that smart
Get your physical moves by strengthening your body
Get your mental moves through reading and studying
Get your spiritual moves by always giving your best to God
The pic up above is the sunset on the river
I took this a while back, no filters, was a one in a million shot
The short video is what I saw on Saturday while out on the trails…..
Invest wisely, live charitably and be well
