Hi friend, how are you?

What takes you down “Memory Lane”?
Are there any memories that you feel are better off left in the past?
I have those often, always have been nostalgic, and pretty forgiving also

Do you watch stuff on YouTube? You guys know that I do, I add clips on here all of the time
Some how / some way / some military stuff came into my feed
Not sure why or how, but I checked it out
It was with a former Tier 1 Operator
If you’re not familiar, in order to be Tier 1 you need to be a Navy Seal, U.S. ARMY Special Forces, Air Force Special Tactics Operator or the most elite of the elite The ARMY’s Delta Force…..
Delta Force is considered our nations undisputed #1 Tier 1 unit hands down w.o. question.. There’s Delta Force, then there’s everyone else
Delta Force is so revered that the U.S. GOVT gives them the absolute newest / best / specialized equipment / before anyone else even knows it exists
The Marine Corp has MARSOC which are considered Tier 2

When I was in the ARMY my job was to jump out of helicopters and go find the bad guys, that was my job, to go and find the bad guys, but we weren’t Tier 1

During my time in the ARMY I went some places / saw some stuff / did some stuff
Most of it I don’t talk about / it’s in the past / that was then / this is now
But the memories remain

Watching that video sent me down memory lane
The things he talked about I could feel
Partly bc I went to the same places he did
And partly bc some of my experiences were the same ones he described

The past couple of days I’ve taken time to reflect how some of those experiences have both affected and influenced me throughout my life
But more importantly how I’ve never addressed some of it, only lived through it, then buried it down deep

I don’t have PTSD or anything else like that, but there are a couple of things that I wish I had done differently. That’s part of life for sure, learning from our mistakes, mishaps, and could of should of’s

That’s if we do learn from them, not everyone does
And that’s a choice we get to make, no one’s perfect, sometimes we need second takes to shoot this movie. But the really cool thing? We’re not only the actors in it, but we get to write and direct our own scripts too. Make yours a good one 😀

Invest wisely, live charitably and be well
