Hi friend, how are you?
When was the last “small victory” that you had?
Do you celebrate them?
If not, why not?
If so, why?
There’s no right or wrong answer, there’s not
It’s more like a personal preference
Rarely do I celebrate small wins, maybe I should more but I don’t
For me a celebration typically means I get to go out on a longer walk or hike, not down 2 giant bowls of pasta, which I may of done a time or two, once or twice 🙃
Well today I had a personal victory
Nothing small about it, it is big, as in BIGGG……. I mean HUUUUUUUUUUGE…….
Earlier I was out in a part of town that I don’t get to often enough, it has a sit at the counter type / hole in the wall / come one come all and come as you are local diner / and the bfasts are no joke
Ate my yummm yummzzzzz, came home here to my office and back to the grind
Well the stereo was on in the living room, when on came one of my “jamms”
With the exuberance of a 5 year old wearing his first batman costume I got up, ran into the living room ( do you know how good it feels to still be able to run? Go run sometime, it will lift your soul ) cranked up the stereo to MAXXX, grabbed one of my guitars off of the wall, started banging on it and singing ( Yelling more like it ) at the top of my lungs 🤣 😅 😂 😁 😂
Fun / fun / fun
“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us” ~Ralph Waldo Emerson~
When we celebrate our victories it releases dopamine…..
When that dopamine is released we then feel the power within ourselves to take on more or even bigger challenges. Or to tackle obstacles that may be out of our control, but we do so knowing that we can overcome
So my friend, what victory, small or big, are you going to celebrate today?
