Hi friend, how are you?

Do you ever have those “What the heck” moments? Of course you do, we all do

Right now I don’t have anything bad going on with me but 3 different women I know are having hard times

1st: Belongs to my art group, has her 3rd different type of cancer in just 2 years
But is making great progress

2nd: A lady at my church went in for a minor surgery 4 months ago, complications happened, since then she’s getting worse, and fast

3rd: Another lady from my church was in a car wreck last week, the airbags deployed, she’s slightly banged up but okay. The paramedics asked her if she was on Eliquis ( it’s a blood thinner ) she said yes, and with out asking if she wanted to go they immediately took her to the ER. One of the possible side effects of it is internal bleeding. People on those types of high powered blood thinners get a purplish bruise anytime they bump into something, That unnatural color even has it’s own name, they call it “Purpura”
I think I’ll just stick with donating blood once every 8 weeks

All of those ladies are right at my age, they aren’t in their 90’s

There’s no good time to get sick ( cancer ) or have a minor surgery go sideways, or get into a car wreck. Those all make for bad days and hard times

Those aren’t things we typically plan for, but setbacks are things that we can somewhat prepare for

That’s just one reason why I and others like me workout

To keep our bones strong so the that they don’t easily break should we fall
To keep our muscles strong so we can stand up without help as we age
To keep our cardiovascular system flowing well
To keep our balance healthy and not wobbly

Those are just a few more reasons why we workout, you know the saying we have around here
“Never miss a Monday workout”

Invest wisely, live charitably and be well
