Hi friend, how are you?

What or who inspires you?
When was the last time you had a conversation with someone and afterwards you felt inspired to give or try a little harder at what ever it is you’re working on?

Yesterday I got some serious inspiration
There’s a good buddy of mine that I volunteer with at church on Sunday mornings, lets call him “Bob”

Bobs of retirement age
Married / kids / grandkids
Still works and spends a lot of time each month away from home traveling for his job
Bob stands about 6’3, he’s rolling towards 70 and is still built like a NFL defensive lineman. He’s impressive, there’s no denying that
Another thing that garners notice and respect is he’s no goofball, our good buddy Bob is a highly educated man, and it resonates through his speech and the way he carries himself
Coolest thing about Bob?
He and his wife both have hearts of gold, and service to others is a large part of what their lives are about

To stay as strong as Bob is you have to work at it
And in your mid / late 60’s maybe a little more even

A few months ago Bob got hurt
He slipped and drove a pin that was already in his leg up through his artificial knee ( yes he had knee replacement in the past )
These past few months have been a “challenge” for Bob for sure
During his healing he contracted “Sepsis” which almost claimed his life
It was bad, real, real, real bad

But that was then, this is now
Bobs recovering, and he’s attacking his workouts with a vengeance
Even with a cane ( only temporary for now, you can’t keep a good man down!!! )
Yes, Bob’s already back in the gym
The gym is a big part of Bobs life
He does this thing I hate him for!!! ….lol…. 🤣
I call it his 30 / 30 / 30 Trio
30 minutes treadmill
30 minutes elliptical
30 minutes stairmaster
~~Then he lifts~~

There’s a difference between inspiration and motivation
Inspiration is “Wow I want to do that too!!”
Motivation is getting up and actually doing it

We here at itsagoodlife.info are big fans of the saying::
“Never miss a Monday workout”

What ever or who ever it is that inspires you to be the best version of yourself, I hope that you find the motivation to follow through

Invest wisely, live charitably and be well
Brother Bill

The man in this video is 66 years young and talking about staying in shape
He briefly mentions meds
I’ve talked before about how scientists are saying that those at the age of 70sh are now in 2 separate groups, more so than at any other time in history
Group One are those that are in need of sick care by way of constant dr visits and meds
Group Two are those that are taking care of themselves by living healthier lifestyles
Being tired, weak and broken down is hard
Getting and staying in shape is hard
Choose your hard

Surgery Recovery Starts Before Surgery

Many patients prepare extensively for the procedure itself — but recovery preparation often gets overlooked.

Healing increases demand for nutrients involved in tissue repair, immune support, collagen production, and recovery. HealFast was designed specifically to support the body before and after surgery with physician-formulated nutritional support created for the recovery process.

Instead of scrambling afterward, many patients now prepare for recovery before surgery even happens.

Because supporting recovery starts long before the procedure is over.
