Monday Motivation

Hi friend, how are you?
Last week I didn’t get to share as I was under the weather but healing up now 🙂
Do you like to listen to talks about motivation, inspiration and stuff like that? I do
This morning one popped up in my feed that really spoke to me
It was about “Rules of the Stoics” and getting things started / moving
Stoic is not a phrase ever used to describe me, but a go getter I’ve been called a time or two before
We all know people in life, and in some way it’s in all of us, they have great ideas, are capable of achieving them but never take action or move forward to their dreams
There’s a guy I’ve known for years, lets call him “Bob”
Bob’s a good guy, works, pays his bills, no drama or trouble, but Bobs talk is bigger than his walk. Bob likes to cook, and he’s pretty good at it. He talks all the time about owning a restaurant, or a food truck. The conversation is always the same, he’d do this, he’d do that. And to be honest, if he did own either of them I believe he would do those things. But here’s the deal, he doesn’t, he only talks about it, for many years now, and worse part yet, the #1 reason is always the same, he’s waiting for every thing to be “perfect” so he can start
That’s not life, not real life at least. There’s no such thing as “perfect conditions” to start anything
As for myself I’ve been wanting to lose some weight
So what I did was I made a eating plan
Foods I need to eat more of and foods I need to eat less of
How often and when to exercise
And move, simply move my body more
Some times getting to our goals / dreams is no more than simply starting them
We all know that old Chinese saying:::
“The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step”
What’s the one step you could take to achieve your dreams?
Invest wisely, live charitably and be well
