Hi friend, how are you?
This one isn’t easy. It was 25 years ago today that 2,977 Americans lost their lives on from the terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers in NYC, The Pentagon, and United Airlines flight 93 which crashed into a field in Pennsylvania
Where were you when you heard the news? I was a cop then, and had gone back to college on my days off. I was inside a building on my way to class, when I went inside the classroom and told everyone what was going on the Professor didn’t believe me
Thinking back I can’t say that I fault him, we hadn’t seen anything like that in America since Pearl Harbor
Today we remember, and we give thanks to all of the brave men and women that ran into the buildings to save the injured, the ones that lined up at blood banks to donate, the ones that gave their time, talents and treasures to the relief organizations helping the survivors, the ones that helped dig through the rubble to recover the bodies of those that were taken too soon and unjustly
There will be many tributes and remembrance ceremonies today
Which ones will you be watching?
In addition to our remembrance of those that lost their lives, let us not forget the loved ones that were forever affected by the event of that day
The wives, the husbands, the sons, the daughters and everyone who knew, loved and prayed for those left behind
May we still hold them in our thoughts and prayers
And most of all, 9/11, may we never forget
