Hi friend, how are you?
Have you ever studied World History? Did you take it in school? I did
History allows us to learn from the past, hopefully to grow in the future and not repeat the mistakes of the past
I remember the first time I ever heard “Alexander The Great” I thought well why was he so great? More like what made him so great?
History remembers him for this: He conquered over 2 million square miles of land / all in under 13 years / and all without the help of GPS 🙃
Upon his death he had 3 requests::
1st: He wanted the best and brightest doctors of his day to carry his casket
The reason was he wanted to show that death comes for all of us regardless of who is around them
2nd: He wanted large amounts of his own money thrown out in the streets behind him during the funeral procession to show that we cannot take it with us
3rd: ( a little odd here ) He wanted his hands sticking out of his casket
The purpose of that was to show that we come into the world with nothing and that we leave with nothing
Alexander The Great was right when he said that we can’t take it with us
But the thing is this, when we do leave we’re going to God, or we’re not
There’s no limbo, no in between
If we’re alive it’s not too late to give our hearts, our lives to God
And it’s not too late to grow closer to Him
Invest wisely, live charitably and be well
