Hi friend, how are you?

Do you recall last Monday I shared how my grandson and I stayed in a really nice hotel that weekend, then how we walked the 10 flights of steps at 930pm back to our room carrying all of our stuff? Small suitcase, bags of goodies, then my fan, gotta have my fan to sleep with…

Then on Sunday morning after a big bfast / brunch … Bigggg bellied and all I took the stairs back up, “Junior Jr” opted out 🤣

Well 10 flights weighted down and all, then 10 slights big bfast belly the next day felt pretty good, both of them. But those were split up, not all on the same day

This last Thursday I had an appointment in a office building knowing they had 12 fights
My plan was to go to my appt then march right up those steps, not once but twice

Plans changed::::
They had it closed off after the 9th floor
So I did 9 flights of steps, 3 times
Twice I started in the basement
Instead of 27 flights of stairs is that now 29???? 😁

Did them, made it, a little winded maybe but all was well ( didn’t even feel it in my knee )
Yeahhhh, all was well until I tried to get out of bed on Friday
My calves, good gawd almighty my calves were pumped more than Arnold going into a Mr Olympia show

Saturday wasn’t much better, my calves didn’t start to feel “normal” again until Sunday afternoon, today I’m back to walking around like I won’t wobble down….. lol……

My calves have never been my strongest suit, but that’s no excuse for how tight they got after only 29 flights of stairs, no excuse, zero, none….. Maybe it was the going back down that got me???? 🤣

Our calves contain the “veva cava veins” and the “tricuspid valve”
They work together to pump blood back to the heart
If our calves go weak, blood flow weakens, you can do the math

That’s why cardiologists call our calves “The second heart”

Unless a person has EXTREMELY low body fat and is naturally thin Cardiologists want to see a mans calves larger than 13.5 inches
Women’s above 13
Those are regardless of age or height

Some might think doing 29 flights in a row just out of the blue wasn’t a good idea
Personally I see it as a great idea
Not because of the workout itself
But because it showed me where I’m at
And now what I need to work on

What do we like to say around here??
“Never miss a Monday workout”

Invest wisely, live charitably and we well
Brother Bill
