Today’s Memorial Day
This is when we take time to remember and honor those that lost their lives during active duty of military service
Veterans Day is different, that’s when we say “Thank You” to veterans for their service
Are you a Veteran? I was in the ARMY, went overseas to a few places

Memorial Day is also the “unofficial start” to summer
Local pools open up, people “take off” to their favorite lake spots

It’s also time for families to gather, and many of us stuff our faces with hamburgers, hotdogs and more corn on the cob than anyone deserves 😄 
The word gather is the “operative verb” in that statement

The word gather when used about people means to come together
There’s strength in numbers
There’s comfort and caring in community

If your wanting to gather in community and hear the word of God you could check out a church near you
Mathew 18:20
“For where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am among them”

If your wanting to connect, re-connect, make amends or reach out to those you may be apart or estranged from I’d encourage you do to so if it’s appropriate, and gather while you still can..

And please please please save a burger today for me 😁
