Hi friend, how are you today?
What did you do this weekend?
How much did you get outside and enjoy nature?
My weekend was pretty active, went to an outdoor art fair. it was biggg, lots of great stuff to see. Met some awesome people and some other artists, connected with a young couple ( 37sh?? ) the wife wants me to teach her welding art. Cool thing is she already owns a welder
But one thing that caught my attention was a 75 y/o gentleman at my church
Great man, very very humble and well, humble
He’s not one of those that has to make a entrance and let it be known he’s there
No, he has self confidence and I appreciate that
Lets call him “Bob”
Well the other day Bob asked if he could “tell me about something”
He wanted to talk about where he is in life with his health
Two years ago Bob had what was supposed to be a / ABC / 123 / Eezzyy Peeezzzyyy / No Fuss / No Muss / Gall bladder surgery
It went south
For all that happened, and for being 75, I think Bob still looks great
The issue Bob wanted to discuss is the weight loss that then came
That then caused a rapid loss of strength
We’ve already talked about how when we turn 72sh we lose our appetites, especially men
So I’m thinking that is part of what’s up with Bob
Just bad timing in all
Without me mentioning it Bob began sharing that hes started weight training
I wanted to both cry, and adopt our old buddy Bob 🙃 😁
Bob is on it, at 75 he’s on it
Lets all wish him well
In addition to getting in major walking steps from the art fair and then a farmers market I got to hear a longevity doctor speak
He asked this::
“Do you know what the 2 best times to begin strength training in order to prolong your life are?”””””
He then said::
“Around the age of 34, and today”
We’ve talked about how longevity doctors talk about the cruciality of our strength at the ages of 34, 63 and 79
And what he meant by “today” was that it’s never too late to start strength training
Our health is our greatest wealth, and our physical strength is “The fountain of youth”
The question I have is what is your workout going to be today?
Invest wisely, live charitably and be well
