Hi friend, how are you?
Well last weekend was it
My grandson, “Junior Jr” went back home
This was the 8th summer in a row that he came and spent such a big stretch with me
Like I’ve said twice before, he’s 18 now, those days could be changing
Time, we don’t get it back
Time is our most valuable commodity
Time waits for no one
Time marches on / with / or without us
Junior Jr isn’t my only grandchild
He’s just the oldest
One of his siblings, the youngest is now 7
He’s built like a bull / and strong as an ox
Give it a few more years and the cycle may be starting all over again
If that one starts staying the summers with me I better start eating my Wheaties now
Today I’m pretty booked up, went to church this morning
Have an event here in a hour
Then have an event at church later tonight
When my grandson was here we had full blown wrestling matches almost every day
He’s 18 / 6ft 4inches tall / can kick a soccer ball about a mile it seems like
We stayed active / walks / workouts / swimming and wrestling matches… 😁
We also did several “serve” projects / helping older people that were in need
Family of all kinds matter, some don’t understand that because they’ve never experienced it but we can strive with extended families too
Where ever your family is, whoever they are and how they became that way to you
Embrace them / life is short / time is precious / spend as much time doing stuff with family as you can when you can….
Who knows, you just may be able to defeat them young whippersnappers in battle too!!! l
The video down below is Junior Jr and myself, check it out, it’s fun 😁
And yes “Hank the hammer” does actually weigh 34 lbs
Side note::: My “World Record” with Hank the hammer is 51 bullseye hits in a row
And the battle death poles weigh 50lbs each 🙃
Invest wisely, live charitably and be well
